As part of the 100 Days Countdown to International Yog Day 2025, Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Nagpur, organized a unique Yog event titled “Yog Sangam” on 7th June at Atrey Layout, Nagpur. The event was held as per the directives of the Ministry of Ayush and the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY). Hon’ble guest Dr. Sharad Nimbalkar, Former Vice Chancellor of PDKV, presided over the program alongside Yogacharya Shri Rambhau Khandwe, President of Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal.
Nearly 1,000 yoga practitioners from all age groups participated in this Yog confluence, creating an inspiring visual of collective discipline through yogasanas, pranayama, and dhyan. This impactful initiative received widespread recognition from several prominent government bodies on social media platforms. The Ministry of Ayush, MDNIY, Ayush Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav, and national broadcasters such as Akashvani Samachar, DD News Gujarat, DD News Tamil and others amplified the event through their official social media handles across platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram. This widespread digital acknowledgment places the Nagpur event among officially recognized programs being held globally in the preparation for the International Yog Day. Such recognition is a matter of great pride not only for the volunteers and organizers but also for the entire Yog community of Nagpur as well as Nagpur’s citizens, thus reflecting a collective dedication towards promoting holistic well-being through traditional yogic practices.
