
On January 17, 2025, the Gratitude Ceremony for the Bhanutai Gadkari Memorial Inter-School Yogsan Competition was recently held at Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Ramnagar, Nagpur. This grand competition witnessed participation from over 16,000 students across more than 100 schools.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Abhatai Meghe, Director of School of Scholars, while Revered Yogcharya Shri Rambhau Khandwe Guruji presided over the ceremony. As a token of appreciation, schools that actively participated in the competition were honored with mementos and certificates of recognition. Additionally, teachers and volunteers from Janardan Swami Yogbhyasi Mandal were felicitated for their valuable contributions.
In his opening speech, Shri. Milind Wazalwar, the General Secretary of Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal, emphasized the importance of developing qualities like concentration and self-discipline in school students through yog, and highlighted that promoting yog in the future is the ultimate solution. Chief guest Abhatayi Meghe shared that in today’s fast-paced life, it is essential to connect with the body through Yog. She also humbly mentioned that her professional and social success is credited to the yog practice she began 25 years ago at Janardanswami Yogabhyasi Mandal.
In his presidential speech, Shri Rambhau Khandwe Guruji strongly advocated for integrating yog as a core practice in school education, stressing its necessity for shaping young minds. He also made an earnest appeal for every school to dedicate at least one period to yog in their curriculum.
While expressing their gratitude, representative teachers from participating schools shared how regular yog practice had significantly enhanced students’ self-confidence, teamwork, concentration, and mental and physical resilience.
The event was anchored by Shri Milind Wazalwar, secretary JSYM, while Smt. Namita Bangre commenced the program with a beautiful rendition of the Yog Geet. The ceremony concluded with light refreshments. All participating teachers appreciated the initiative and expressed their admiration for the program.
