The Chitnavis Centre branch of Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal (JSYM), which offers free daily yoga classes, celebrated its 10th anniversary on November 17. The event, held in Civil Lines, was attended by Guruji Ram Khandwe, president of JSYM, as the chief guest, along with Avantika Chitnavis and Milind Chitnavis, trustees of the Centre.
Guruji Khandwe congratulated the Centre on its success and growth, noting that JSYM would celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025 with a large-scale yoga competition involving over 25,000 students. He praised the Centre’s efforts and said it was ready for even greater possibilities.
Sanjay Arora, who co-manages the Centre with his wife Shalini, reflected on the Centre’s journey, starting in 2014 as a 15-day yoga camp with just 50 participants. The program has since grown into a year-round activity benefiting thousands. He thanked the Chitnavis Trust for providing the premises.
The event also featured testimonials from participants, who shared how yoga had improved their stress levels, alertness, and overall well-being. Donations were presented to Guruji Khandwe for JSYM and to the Chitnavis Trust.
The event concluded with an appeal for everyone to join the free yoga classes and prioritize their health.
