|| Jay Janardan – Shree Janardan ||
Despite rains over night, we had an overwhelming response of close to 1000 Yog Sadhakas pouring in since 4h30 this morning. Thanks in fact to the rains till early morning, the Janardan Swami Marg was all washed and clean and all preparations to lay matting across the avenue started as early as 5h00. As this article is being written, Nagpur is experiencing heavy rains, scary lightening & thunder. However, early in the morning the rain had stopped, as if to allow the entire program to be smoothly organised from collective Asanas for all the hundreds of sadhakas who had turned up, to the special Human Pyramid displays by various centres, Paduka Palakhi (Palanquin) Procession and celebrations in form of dance amongst the chanting of our Guru Parampoojaniya Shri Janardan Swami Maharaj!

This Samaradhana Din was special in many ways, but most importantly the collective sequence of all sadhakas offered as a Shraddhanjali to Shri Janardan Swami was guided by a pre-recorded video sequence displayed on a huge truck screen. This is the same sequence which will be played during the International Yoga Day Celebrations on 21st June 2015 in Nagpur, at Yeshwant Stadium. This event will be jointly organised by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) & Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Nagpur along with several other organisations & institutions joining hands to realize an ambitious target of 21,000 participants together.
Today’s chief guest was Shri Pravin Datke, honourable mayor of Nagpur City. He was quite happy to see the event underway and praised the different groups coming from different centres displaying various human Pyramids. Shri Datke very generously & humbly mentioned that the mega celebrations of the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2015 shall be primarily thanks to the efforts of Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Nagpur and the efforts taken by its volunteers to design, develop & promote the collective Yoga sequence for the event. Our mandal’s karyawah Shri Khandwe Guruji elaborated on how long this event has been associated with the NMC & how every year, the mayor has been the chief guest as well as a major patron for the event.
There so much to share that words shall take too long, so we’ve made a quick video of the event and here are some photos too. Do watch, comment & share if you like them!
