For the first ever International Yoga Day 2015, where we at Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal Nagpur, have set out an ambitious Mission to reach out to, motivate, train & conduct collective Yoga sequence with 21000 People at Yashwant Stadium, Nagpur on the 21st June 2015. Today was one of the biggest meetings of our volunteers & teachers at the Ram Nagar campus and the way things are moving the “mission 21000” seems not only achievable but that figure of participants shall be comfortably surpassed.
Today we had extensive round of meetings, right from the core group leaders, followed by a meeting with the groups & their leaders followed by a mass interactive session with the groups, their leaders and all centre teachers who’ll be the source of hundreds of participants representing Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Nagpur at the International Yoga Day 2015. Group leaders were first briefed about their duties, communication channels & immediate tasks which they’ve to manage. The volunteer groups were then explained the several different tasks that people could take up or participate in and how they should execute them with their group leaders. From Training potential participants to conducting sessions at various remote sites, managing the logistics in the run up to 21st June, actual planning/co-ordination for the International Yoga Day 2015 and everything in between.

We also had a fiery and inspiring session where our beloved Khandwe Guruji touched every karyakarta’s heart reminding them how Janardan Swamiji despite being a Sanyasi himself had donated Rs. 1000/- back in the 1960s to the Mayor of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, requesting him to start celebrating Yog Din. How celebrating this International Yoga Day 2015 with a Mission of 21000 people is nothing but realizing the dream of our Guru Shri Janardan Swamiji and his vision for a healthy, happy & content human society. Sometimes all that is needed is a blessing from our elders & we got that from our Guruji this morning giving us a confidence of success.
There will be thousands coming from several other organisations who’ve joined us and Nagpur Municipal Corporation for making this first ever #YogaDay celebration a sweet success. From Sri Sri Ravishankar’s Art of Living to the National Cadet Corps & many small and large member organisations who’ve chosen to join this unique concept of collective #Yogasana sequence to be performed on 21st June.
We’ve had thousand of International Yoga Day 2015 pledges being submitted online and offline via pledge forms (Sankalpa Patra). As the day nears, the pace at which the preparations are picking up are overwhelming to say the least and inspiring as such. We’re thankful for each and everyone who is volunteering/participating in the preparations and even those who’re sharing our news & updates online to their networks so that more and more people get to know about this event and be able to participate in it to Spread the Message of Yoga, it’s importance & significance towards a healthy human race!
